ETP Statements of Professional Ethical Cod of Conduct for Engineers 

We, engineers, effect the social life and the environment, as our decisions and actions impact on the safety of people, environmental balances and the reputation of the organisations we work in. Being aware of our responsibilities, we commit to comply with the following ethical code of conduct:

Article-1. We commit to use our expertise for the benefit of the society and ecological balances through maximisation of social value and protection of the environment. 

Article-2. We aim to achieve health and safety, the best quality of service, energy efficiency and sustainability in the service deliverability in all aspects of our professional work. 

Article-3. We comply with the principle of equality and diversity in our work and commit do not illegally discriminate people on the ground of race, colour, ethnic origin, nationality, religious and political believes, gender, disability, age and sexual orientation.  

Article-4. We do not tolerate the employment of children under the legal age.

Article-5. We respect the intellectual properties of individuals and organizations. We only use legal copies.

Article-6. We abide to comply with the local legal requirements in all our working practice and do not endorse any form of illegal or criminal activities.

Article-7. We respect cultural diversity within and across all communities within the scope of our ethical code of conduct. 

Article-8. We reject all form of corruptions such as bribery, fraud, nepotism and similar unethical conducts and professionally regulate receipt and offer of gifts and donations.

Article-9. We aim to be innovative, inspirational and keep our professional knowledge and expertise up to date to achieve the best outcome for our customers. 

Article-10. We recognize as our moral obligation to offer our expertise  for the updating of regulations and standards when requested.

Article-11. We aim to comply with the regulatory standards without any reservation and expect our partners to show the same commitment in their working practice. 

Article-12. We commit to make factual, relevant and evidence-based reporting to our customer and institutions 

Article-13. We follow customer first ethos and aim to understand customers’ demands and priorities with the objective to achieve best value for the solutions within the available resources. 

Article-14. We pledge to open and honest communication with our partners and encourage transparency in our professional work.

Article-15. We decline any work, which is beyond our capability in term of our technical experience and expertise if it cannot be sourced externally and do our best to assist our customers within this scope.  

Article-16. We believe in open, free and fair competition. We respect our competitors and prioritize the dignity of the profession over money. We condemn unfair competition.

Article-17. We acknowledge the importance of mutual respect in our relations and stick to our ethical code of conduct in all our working practice. 

Article-18. We fully comply with the data protection and confidentiality for our employees, customers and partners. 

Madde-19. We act professionally in our working relations and do not allow any form of abuse, discrimination and harassment in term of our relations with the partners and third parties.

Article-20. We avoid any form of conflict of interest and inform all parties in case we cannot eliminate it.  

Article-21. We supervise and coach our workers in term of their relations with our partners and customers, foster in house ethical behaviour and   develop policy and procedures to reinforce their compliance with our code of conduct.

Article-22. We keep our promises, fulfil our responsibilities without any reservation and honour our commitments.
